The Good, The Great and The Betterverse.org
One of the best resources available to learn more about virtual worlds, such as Second Life, is Betterverse.org:
Welcome to Betterverse.org, a chronicle of the evolving and innovative efforts to use virtual worlds to promote various real world causes and improve the lives of people all around the globe.
Their "About Us" statement pretty much sums up why I have become involved in the Nonprofit Commons of Second Life and why I have started this group in Second Life. The articles available on Betterverse present useful and interesting information, along with relevant links, in order to highlight the better parts of the virtual worlds and make it easier for information seekers to find them.
Personally, I am grateful for this awesome resource and hope you will check it out and find it useful, as well.

Virtual Webcasts: John Axelrod at Univ of Delaware
John Axelrod's talk regarding Obama's first year is another public broadcast that was also webcast inside of Second Life.
Although I didn't attend that event in SL, I realize that this is something that many may want to hear, as well.
